Lawless, Carl J. 7-12-1985 10-20-2005 b. McPherson ks McPherson co, d. Canton KS      ", S/O John Henry and Sandy L. Hawley Lawless. He was attending McPherson College, where he was in his third year of the auto restoration program. A lifelong resident of McPherson County, he worked in the sporting goods department for Wal-Mart, McPherson. He belonged to C.A.R.S. Club.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Marcella Green and Carl J. Lawless.
Morse, Perry F. 11-27-1922 11-13-2005  b. Galva ks McPherson co, b. McPherson ks, S/O Orval H. and Anna S. Finkle Morse. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II in the European Theater as a tank commander. On March 26, 1948, he married Billie Ann Kubin in McPherson. She died Oct. 17, 1980. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond "Bill;" and two sisters, Inez Johnson and Nada Jackson.
Nelson, Melvin O.
6-19-1913 12-14-2004 b. Hoisington ks  barton co, d. McPherson county, Retired industrial designer from Sealright, Kansas City, MO, died at The Cedars, McPherson. S/O George Owen and Viola May Meyer Nelson. He graduated from Satanta High School, Garden City Jr. College and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kansas City Art Institute. On Aug. 12, 1972 he married Shirley Chace at Kansas City, MO. He was a Canton resident since June 1975, moving from Kansas City, MO. He was a member and former board member of Unity Church, Wichita, KS. Preceded in death by stepdaughter, Edna Johnson.
Yost, Martin 5-1-1926 10-2-2005  b. Copeland ks Gray co, d. Galva ks McPherson co, S/O Jacob N. and Carrie Schmidt Yost. A lifelong Galva area resident, he was a retired bricklayer and owner of Yost Repair, Galva.  He belonged to Canton American Legion Post No. 192. He attended Galva United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. On Feb. 12, 1950, he married Verneta Koehn, in McPherson. She died July 6, 1981. On March 8, 1983, he married Dorothy Schmidt in Cunningham. She survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Rollin; and four sisters, Bertha Schmidt, Katie Koehn and Irene and Della Yost.
