10-6-1928 | 8-3-2005 | b. Garner AR White co, d. Hartford ks Lyon co, S/O Byron Lee & Amy Eldora Borror Mahan. He graduated from Welda High School in 1946, received an MA in education at Pittsburg State University. He had a 41 year career in education, teaching & coaching at Lone Elm, Colony & in Moran where he became principal of Kindergarten through 8th grade. Later he became principal in Neosho Rapids until retiring in 1991. Jack was a member of the American Legion and belonged to many educational organizations. He married Mary Lou Beal on May 31, 1953 in Diamond Methodist Church, LaHarpe, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sylvia Gibson; brothers, Walter, Erwin, & Delmar Mahan. | |
