A resident of Hugoton, she was the owner and operator of Barricklow Lawn Service for many years. She also worked as a clerk for Duckwall's. She belonged to First Christian Church, Hugoton, taught Sunday school and was a member of Red Hat Society, Dodge City. On June 12, 1937, she married Wesley Owen Barricklow in Paola. He died Jan. 8, 1988. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Bud Durland; and a sister, Wanda Schniedt.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On July 11, 1942, he married Juanita P. Steele at Dodge City. She died Oct. 26, 1998. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Sharon Lee and Sandra Sue Watkins; and two sisters, Betty Moore and Shirley Mathis. Military graveside rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
