Beaver, Druzilla Clarice "Dotty" (Wharton) 9-30-1928 3-31-2005 b. Wichita ks sedgwick co, d. Mulvane ks sumner co, D/O James J. and Anna E. (Worden) Wharton. Before her illness, Dotty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Dotty attended her later years of school and high school in Derby, before her marriage to Nicholas L. Beaver on June 29, 1947. After marriage and having two sons, she volunteered at Derby grade schools with Special Education children. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Nicholas H. Beaver.

Daley, Bernard Francis 11-27-1917 10-9-2005 b. Parsons ks Labette co, d. Mulvane ks sumner co, World War II veteran in Egyptian & African theatres. Married Mary Jo McGannon on June 14, 1948. Worked as a dispatcher for the M.K.T. Railroad for 27 years in Parsons and continued working in the transportation industry when the family moved to Derby. He was a two-term Derby City Councilman and served as Mayor of Derby in 1974-76. Retired to Parsons, then Mulvane in 2004. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, three sisters.

b. Byron OK  Alfalfa co, d. Enid OK Garfield co, Age 93. He graduated from Byron High School and attended American Business College in Wichita. He managed a country grain elevator for Continental Grain Co. and later moved to Enid.

Sumpter, Donna Jean (Broyles)
1-28-1930 11-14-2004 b. Broken Bow NE Custer co, d. Mulvane KS Sumner co, D/O of the late Robert Benjamin and Helen Frances (Arnold) Broyles. Donna graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1950 and worked as a nurse and secretary at St. Joseph Hospital. On Jan. 22, 1950 she married Charles William Sumpter Jr. in Eureka Springs, AR. He died Nov. 18, 1999. Donna was also preceded in death by sisters, Lois Darko, Roberta Bockelman.
