Simmerwell Cemetery
Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas

Simmerwell Cemetery is the final resting place of Elizabeth F (Simmerwell) Carter, the first white female child born in Kansas.  She was the daughter of Robert & Fanny (Goodrich) Simmerwell, early Baptist Missionaries to the Indians.  Originally this was the Simmerwell Family Cemetery; however, recently it has been enlarged and is opened to others.
