Augustine, Clarence I. 7-2-1929 7-4-2005 b. Brownell KS Ness co, d. Hays ks Ellis co, S/O Ignatius and Anna Schuster Augustine. He graduated from Ellis High School. He worked as a Postal Clerk in the U.S. Post Office for 29 years.He belonged to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1325 and Perpetual Adorers, all at Hays. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Blaine; and three brothers, Phil, Adolph and Ted.

Dreiling, Norbert R. 4-7-1925 8-1-2005 b. Gorham ks Russell co, d. Hays ks Ellis co, S/O Richard A. and Mollie Eichman Dreiling. He graduated from St. Joseph Military Academy, Fort Hays State University and Washburn University of Law. He was the senior partner in the law firm Dreiling, Bieker and Hoffman, Hays, and served two terms as Ellis County attorney. He served as Kansas State Democratic chairman from 1966 to 1974, and led several delegations to the National Democratic Conventions. He belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church, St Joseph 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and was a 4th degree Bishop Cunningham Assembly Knights of Columbus. He was a charter member of Hays Kiwanis Club, the Volga German Society and was a Fort Hays State University Endowment Association Trustee. He was on the board of directors of St. Anthony Hospital and Farmers State Bank, all at Hays. He was a member of Ellis County Kansas and National Bar Associations, was a life member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Washburn Law School Board of Governors and helped establish and served on the board at St. John's Rest Home, Victoria and Hays. He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Kathryn Bieker. The 4th Degree Knight of Columbus standing Honor Guard 
Rolfe, Vernie R. 2-3-1914 10-4-2005 b. Codell ks Rooks co, d. wichita, Retired Boeing engineer at Wichita, Everett, Renton, and Seattle plants. He was a 1935 graduate of Codell High School where he played sports all four years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, archery, water skiing, and boating, and won many trophies competing at archery tournaments in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Preceded in death by father, Charles Rolfe; mother, Cecil (Bice) Marlow; brother, Fay Rolfe; and son, Gary F. Rolfe, who died of combat injuries in the Vietnam war.
Sack, Vera 7-29-1924 8-9-2005 b. & d. Hays ks Ellis co, D/O John J. and Mary Vonfeldt Sack. A resident of Hays, she was a homemaker and worked at Baxter Laboratories, Hays, until they closed. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and William Sack; and two sisters, Aurelia Amrein and Rosetta Sack.
Stecklein, Celeste M. 1-9-1918 8-25-2005 b. Walker ks Ellis co, d. Topeka ks Shawnee co, D/O John J. and Lucy VonLintel Dreiling. A lifetime Hays resident, she was a homemaker. She belonged to Saint Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays. On June 4, 1935, she married Michael Stecklein at Munjor. He died July 12, 1973. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Elmer Dreiling; and three sisters, Delores Rome, Leota Steen and Vivian Rust.
Swift, Robert M. 10-25-1923 10-21-2005  b. Clinton IA Clinton co, d. Hays KS Ellis co, S/O Melvin R. and Margaret Leiker Swift. He graduated from Hays High School. A resident of Hays, he was a lineman for Central Kansas Power Company.  He belonged to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Swift.
